I discovered last night after my house was filled with toxic smoke that plastic microwavable containers can indeed melt.
Craig again looked at me incredulously and asked how it happened.
I looked blankly back at him as he whisked Avy's burnt carrots and the melted container outside into the rain to isolate the smoke.
Craig (accusingly): "Did you put in any water...?"
Me (indignantly): "Yes!" ... oh wait....

It can indeed happen. I have melted a microwave container. Who knew chips don't cook in a microwave container??? Certainly not I

As a side note, I had some creative license with this one. Craig's tone was more inquisitive than accusing. But it sounded funnier that way. So I lied to get some laughs.
